Rice told the Baltimore Ravens he and Janay Palmer had been drinking HEAVILY before <a href="http://www.tmz.com/2014/09/08/ray-rice-elevator-knockout-fiancee-takes-crushing-punch-video/">the altercation</a>. Rice is telling friends he becomes a different person when he boozes it up ... so he's changed his life. But he hasn't changed that much, because we're told he still drinks wine ... just not hard liquor. Our
 sources say Ray and his wife have gotten deep into religion since the 
February incident -- they were both baptized in March when they decided 
to become Born again Christians. We're also told they've also done religious mentoring with other couples ... including NFL players and their wives. As
 for Ray, he issued a statement Tuesday saying he's trying to "work 
through this" -- noting, "We have a lot of people praying for us."

Duchess of Cornwall attends late brother Mark Shand's memorial

The Duchess of Cornwall was supported by her husband Prince Charles and other members of the British royal family as she attended her late brother Mark Shand's memorial service. 
 
Mark, who was the chairman of wildlife foundation Elephant Family, passed away at the age of 62 in New York City last April when he suffered a fall and sustained a fatal head injury. 
 
On Thursday morning Camilla, 67, and the Prince of Wales, 65, were seen arriving at St Paul's Church in Knightsbridge, London.

The Duchess put on a brave face and smiled as she was greeted by church 
ministers and kissed them on the cheek. Dressed in an elegant white 
dress with a pretty butterfly print, and a black blazer and matching 
black hat, Camilla headed in for the ceremony of her younger sibling who
 she has fondly recalled as a "charismatic and sometimes infuriating 
brother".

Charles followed closely behind, accompanied by the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and Camilla's daughter from her previous marriage Laura Parker Bowles.

Other famous faces who paid tribute to the late conservationist included Jemima Khan, Amber Le Bon and Mario Testino – the photographer behind <a href="http://www.hellomagazine.com/profiles/prince-william/">Prince William</a> and <a href="http://www.hellomagazine.com/profiles/kate-middleton/">Kate</a>'s engagement photos. 
 
The service for Mark – full name Mark Roland Shand – was held at noon to celebrate the life of the conservationist.
 At the time of his death, Mark's charity released a statement, writing,
 "Today we've lost the head of our family. Mark Shand was a true force 
for conservation, a legend and inspiration."

Camilla, who was relaxing in Scotland with Charles at the time of Mark's passing, was said to have been "utterly devastated" by the sudden loss of her younger brother. 
 
In a statement released by Clarence House, Mark was described as a man 
of "extraordinary vitality, a tireless campaigner and conservationist." 
 
The travel writer had been attending an after-party following a charity fundraising party in New York, when he went outside to smoke a cigarette and slipped. He was taken to hospital but died from his head injuries.

George Zimmerman Questioned by Cops In Alleged Road Rage Incident

George Zimmerman allegedly threatened to kill a man in 
Florida earlier this week during a road rage incident ... and cops 
pulled over Zimmerman to grill him about it. According to the 
Lake Mary PD, a man named Matthew Apperson called 911 on September 9 and
 told the operator Zimmerman had pulled up next to him and began 
yelling, "Why are you pointing your finger at me? I'll f***ing kill you.
 Do you know who I am?" Apperson says he drove away to a store 
where Zimmerman followed him to continue the verbal barrage. Apperson 
called 911 from inside the store, but according to cops ... Zimmerman 
was gone when they arrived. Apperson claims 2 days later, he saw
 Zimmerman parked outside his work, and called police again. Cops 
responded and pulled Zimmerman over near the office. After questioning 
him, police decided not to press charges -- mainly because there was no 
independent witness. For what it's worth ... Apperson is white. 
Also, he was carrying a gun at the time of the alleged run-in, but he

Prince Harry caught up in high-speed crash

Prince Harry was caught up in a high-speed crash on Thursday, when one of his police outriders collided head on with a taxi as his motorcade headed to an Invictus Games event. 
 
The royal appeared concerned as his bodyguards treated 
the driver, who was reportedly unconscious and had to be cut free from 
his car by firemen – and the rider, who was thrown from his bike.

One witness told the Mail that Harry's Range Rover took immediate evasive action.
 The driver, apparently fearing a terrorist attack, expertly steered the
 car through the damaged vehicles at high speed before coming to a stop 
further down the road. 
 
The bystander said that he saw the Prince sat in the back with his head in his hands, constantly looking back towards to injured men. 
 
Harry was insistent that they stopped, but on security advice he was then driven on. Other officers did attend the accident. 
 
The police outrider has since been released from hospital, while the driver is said to be in a stable condition. 
 
A spokesman for Prince Harry said on Thursday night, "The prince was obviously very concerned and wanted to make sure both men were ok. He is relieved to hear they are both in a stable condition."

Oscar Pistorius not Guilty of murdering Reeva but Still Facing Culpable Homicide Charge

Oscar Pistorious has been found not guilty of the murder of Reeva Steenkamp, but the judge warned that a finding of culpable homicide was still possible. 
 
Judge Thokozile Masipa will return on Friday to give her ruling on the 
lesser charge, which still carries a maximum sentence of 15 years. 
 
She accepted the Paralympian's defence on the killing saying, the 
evidence showed he believed an intruder was inside the bathroom when he 
shot his girlfriend dead in the early hours of Valentine's Day 2013.

Reeva's parents June and Barry Steenkamp had arrived an 
hour-and-a-quarter early, looking grief-stricken and flanked by their 
own lawyer and family. They remained stony-faced throughout the 
proceedings, occasionally glancing at Oscar. 
 
Under South African law there is no jury system and the judge reached 
her decision assisted by two assessors, lawyers who provided an extra 
set of eyes and ears. 
 
The model and law gradutate was 29 when she was killed. For months the 
High Court in Pretoria has been gripped by distressing details from the

When the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton,
 has her second baby next April or May, her delivery will be overseen 
by key members of the same elite medical team who helped with her 
firstborn.

Doctors Alan Farthing and Guy Thorpe-Beeston were both present at Prince George's birth last summer, and will be involved in welcoming the new royal baby at the exclusive Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital in London, where Kate is believed to be giving birth again. 
 
Alan, The Queen's
 surgeon-gynaecologist, has already been called to the Duchess' side and
 has been caring for her at the palace where she has been resting while 
suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum – the same condition she had while pregnant with George.

Doctor Farthing, 51, took up his royal post in 2008, when he was appointed to assist Sir Marcus Setchell – the Queen's then surgeon-gynaecologist for 18 years. It was Sir Marcus who went on to lead the team of doctors during Kate's delivery.

Alan replaced Sir Marcus last year when the 70-year-old retired, having received a knighthood from the Queen for his longstanding services to the royal household. 
 
When Doctor Farthing took over, he became one of the youngest to treat 
the royal family. He qualified as a doctor in 1986, became a member of 
the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1991 and a 
fellow in 2003.

Possible names for William and Kate's royal baby 
 
Alan – the former fiancé of the late TV presenter Jill Dando, who was 
murdered in 1999 – is a consultant at St Mary's Hospital as well as 
Queen Charlotte's Hospital in Shepherd's Bush. He also has a private 
practice in Harley Street. 
 
Following Jill's death, Alan found love again with trainee doctor Janet 
Stowell, who is 14 years his junior and who he met at the Paddington 
hospital. The couple married in London in 2008.

The second physician who will be on hand to help Kate – Doctor Guy 
Thorpe-Beeston – holds the official title of surgeon-gynaecologist to 
the Household. He specialises in high-risk pregnancies, as well as multiple pregnancies and recurrent miscarriages, and is based at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. 
 
The consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist graduated from Cambridge 
University in 1984 and sub specialised in foetal medicine at King's 
College Hospital, obtaining his MD in 1991. 
 
It is not yet known whether Dr. Sunit Godambe, a consultant neonatologist at St. Mary's Hospital who was also present at George's birth, will be joining Alan and Guy. 
 
Much like Sir Marcus, Sir Professor John Cunningham, who was previously physician to the Queen and also assisted with Kate's delivery, recently retired from his royal post.

headache while on tour down under ... but made a quick turnaround and 
was able to perform the same night. Yeezus and his entourage rushed to the emergency room Wednesday in Melbourne after playing basketball. Sources
 tell us Kanye had a pretty intense migraine. He was released later that
 afternoon after doctors checked him out and determined it wasn't 
serious. The Australian media is claiming Kanye suffered seizure like symptoms ... but we're told it's not true. He
 wasn't the worse for wear ... Kanye made it to his show at the Rod 
Laver Arena that evening ... and ranted like his normal self.
